Going’s On October 21, 2007

Its been a crazy time around here. (But when isn’t it?)  Right now, I’m trying to get everything ready for my husband’s return for a vacation and our trip to Disney World in addition to getting the kiddies ready for Halloween.  The older two still don’t know they are going to Disney World yet.  The baby, who just turned two can really keep a secret!

As if that isn’t enough and trying to get everything done on “Thunder and Lighting”, I have decided to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month).  This is where I write a 50,000 word novel between November 1 and November 30th.  It should be good fun!  I’ve decided on the third story in the Thunder Series because the second one is already about a third of the way completed.  What can I say, I’ve been inspired by the Flyers so far this season!   There will be more to say about this at a later time.

Wish me luck!!!

Review – “Dream Weaver” by Lisa Beth Darling October 17, 2007

Lizzie Love wrote a book and her entire world changed in ways she could never have imagined.

When we first meet Lizzie, she’s a regular person: a mom, wife and legal secretary who happened to write a book. She takes the big plunge and is taken on by a high powered literary agent in New York City. From there, her world changes forever.

Her larger than life agent helps her sell her book and land a movie deal which pulls her into the film industry and meeting her real life muse, Michael Garrett (star of her favorite tv show – Galaxy Gateway). But the real excitement begins with the arrival of Lizzie’s stalker, only known to us a the “Masked Panty Raider” (MPR). For the rest of the book, you will wonder who the MPR is as he stalks her across the country to the set of her movie.

This is an action packed book with a wonderful range of characters; ones you want to love and cheer for to ones you can’t help but hate and take pleasure in their misfortunes and everything in between.

Once I started reading Lizzie’s story, I didn’t want to stop until I found out what was behind all the twists and turns I went on with her. I found myself cheering for her at times and pleading for other things to not happen. Reading this story was a wonderful and exhausting thrill ride.

Dream Weaver can be purchased exclusively here.

We have a name!!!! October 7, 2007

I finally have a title for my first book and a name for the team! Instead of the team being call the Lightning, they will now be the Philadelphia Thunder! (As long as the NHL is cool with that). And now for the big reveal of the title……… Thunder and Lighting!

I have some great feedback from the Flyers home office answering questions for me on “hockey life” but I’m still hoping to get an interview or two before I have to send it to an editor. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Today was the Collingswood Book Festival. The weather was lovely and I met many wonderful authors who had nothing but support and enthusiasm for me and my upcoming books. Next year, I will be one of them!!! I am so excited that becoming a published author is coming that much closer to becoming a reality. There is already a bit of a buzz about town about it and the launch date is a year away. This is going to be one amazing year!
