Second Chances – Chapter 64 August 11, 2010
Whew! It’s a hot and humid one today! And its not going to break until Friday. I am so done with this weather. All we can do is sit around and sweat.
On other, more pleasant things, I’m off for vacation next week with the family and really looking forward to it. Don’t worry, the story will continue but it may not have more than just a basic description of the day’s chapter in it.
My new story, tentatively called “Red Storm”, is coming along well. Hoping to get a lot of it done on vacation. Nothing like writing pool side with a drink (with umbrella in it) sitting next to you. Right now I need to get them off the Enterprise and into the retrieval of a probe that fell out of orbit. I hope to get them there tonight.
So, in today’s chapter Rob is back in the States and finds out what happened to Beth.
Second Chances – Chapter 63 August 9, 2010
Had a great weekend. It all started with getting an A in that art class I took online. I was very happy about that. Then we headed over to a good friend from college’s house for a crab boil. The kids had a great time running around with his kids and drinking WAY too many Capri Sun’s.
Also, I wanted to share the excitement. My friend, Lisa Darling has submitted her newest story to publishers and have FOUR of them interested in it. Way to go Lisa!!! (Her site is www.MoonsMusings.com)
I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend as well as we enter the big, dramatic stuff of Second Chances.
Beth is still feeling ill but is working hard on MacBeth.
Second Chances – Chapter 62 August 6, 2010
The weather has be absolutely gorgeous here in the Northeast! After that heat wave that didn’t seem like it was ever going to end, this is a very nice change. It could stay like this for the rest of the summer and I’d be one happy camper.
Got news that one of my classes for the fall semester that was originally canceled has been un-canceled! Very happy that I’ll be in shiatsu class in the fall and graduate on time!
I”m going to try and keep up with my writing more, even during the semester. It’s liberating to me to dive into a story and see it come to life with each keystroke or movement of the pen. I’m still figuring out the broad strokes of the story and doing necessary research but I haven’t had this kind of excitement about writing in a long while and it feels great.
One other thing, I want to wish my “older” brother a very happy birthday! (Multi-generational family joke there.) I know this year is going to be a year of amazing changes for you and your growing family. I can’t wait to meet my niece or nephew in only a few weeks. I hate the idea that there are so many miles between us but I know you are where you need to be in your life.
So, what’s going to happen today with Beth and Rob? Well, Beth calls Sarah for help because she doesn’t know what else to do.

We’re getting to my favorite part of this story. Hopefully you’ll find some of these parts as heart wrenching as I did. I’m hoping that this story will finish in early September, maybe by Labor Day weekend. As as I always do when we finish a novel, I’ll be having another give away! Second Chances – Chapter 58 July 28, 2010
I’m so glad that I am almost done my summer classes. All those other things I’ve wanted to do all summer are screaming at me to do now. I just have to buckle down and get the last 3 assignments done and they I am free and clear and good until 1 Sept.
I am so loving the feedback from you guys and every little bit does feed the writer in me. Even if its a quick note of “hey, good job” it makes me feel so good. Beth and Rob are very special characters to me and I am so happy that so many people are enjoying their story. A writer friend who has a very successful blog with a HUGE readership told me that us writers love to be fed with positive feedback and I totally agree with her. We are needy, loving any scraps of love that our readers give us. So if you are so kind, keep the kind remarks coming! It’s such an ego boost and makes me want to write more.
Ok, today’s chapter we have Rob off to his new project and can’t stop thinking of Beth.
